A truly dazzling Daye specimen featuring groups of Marcasite included, compressed silvery colored Calcite scalenohedra aesthetically perched onto a plate of brassy gold Chalcopyrite which exhibits gorgeous selective deposition of sparkling micro crystals of second generation Chalcopyrite. Excavated from the world renowned Daye Copper Mine of China in 2015, this the only one Calcite and Chalcopyrite piece which display such a unique combination. Some slightly mounded, tetrahedral twins stacked to form rare stalactitic Chalcopyrite pillars, deposited right in the center of the Calcite “flowers”, a true masterpiece from the mother nature! As a bonus, the Calcite fluoresces a bright orange under longwave UV lighting 365nm. The quality and peculiarity of the piece make it a very desirable and unique display specimen that would make a wonderful addition to any Chinese or worldwide Calcite collection. It is way more beautiful in person than photos! Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
