A very rare and spectacular specimen featuring sharp, lustrous, bi-colored (white and brown-red) Calcite crystals stacked on each other to form the tower shape. From the world-renowned Daye Copper Mine, this belongs to my father's private collection bought in around 1975. He'd collected 3 pieces so far and this is the second one. It exhibits fantastic coloration due to red Hematite inclusions. Calcite from the Daye Mine usually exhibits scalenohedron crystal habit but a few Calcite specimens like this piece were discovered when the mine was first found. Very attractive and a well balanced display quality specimen, simply stunning! Comes with a high quality metal display stand.
