Weight: 203g

Wow, the beauty of the piece is completely off the chart and it is a floater specimen!  Cuprite in groups of twinned octahedral crystals formed as cherry red crystals with a layer of submetallic opaque coating.  Some of the smaller crystals display bright transparent red crystals especially upon back-lighting, mesmerizing!  Discovered in 2018 in the copper rich deposit of Liufengshan Mine famed for producing world-class top quality Azurite, this is absolutely a very rare find.  The piece shows off some very three-dimentional aggregates of crystal, running along the matrix and highlighting glistening streams of metallic, shinny Cuprite.  The yellow color of the matrix creates a stunning contrast effect, making this a very attractive centerpiece.  This very limited one-time-find really sets a new standard for what can come out of the Liufengshan copper belt, competitive with other worldwide Cuprite of such combination.  Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
