Excavated from the Dongchuan Cu ore field from May to June 2021, these new combo specimens WOW the Chinese mineral collecting world. Deep brown to yellow-brown Goethite pseudomorph after Quartz in an earlier stage of crystallization, followed by Azurite pseudomorph after the Goethite-coated Quartz.  Vivid blue, sparkly microcrystals of Azurite almost encrusted the entire surface of the Quartz cluster which exhibit a rare botryoidal crystal habit, they are so colorful and attractive! This remarkably well composed piece is one of the best of the lot acquired in 2021, it is perfect and sculptural. Obtained directly from the miner’s home on-site, beautiful and undamaged pieces of good size are extremely rare. It is a magnificent specimen of mineral history, from time and place. Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
