Stibnite and Fluorite from Xikuangshan Sb Deposit, China

Weight: 99g
Locality: Xikuangshan Sb Deposit, Lengshuijiang Co., Loudi, Hunan Province, China
A fine mineral specimen featuring a distinct combination of Stibnite and Fluorite crystals from Xikuangshan Sb deposit of China. This is an old time material collected by my father in 2002, you will not see this on the market nowadays. Groups of colorless, slightly Stibnite included Fluorite crystals aesthetically perched onto an exquisite cluster of Stibnite, they are penetration cubic twins of which cleavage fragments are flat, three dimensional rectangles. The Fluorite crystals fluoresce a bright blue color under longwave UV lighting 365nm, outstanding! Complexly formed slender crystals of Stibnite are exceptionally bright, which display a silvery grey color and metallic luster. This is for sure one of China’s fine legacy of museum caliber Stibnite examples that is extremely rare and exquisite. As a bonus, it is a complete floater specimen in perfect condition, impressive! Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand. Chinese Stibnite examples set the world’s standard and surprised the minerals world when they first appeared in the market in early 2000, sadly great quality specimens are becoming very difficult to find due to high demand and slow progress in sourcing new Stibnite deposits in China.
