Chrysocolla with Azurite, Goethite and Malachite from Liufengshan Mine, China

Chrysocolla with Azurite, Goethite and Malachite from Liufengshan Mine, China

Dimension: 10.1cm x 8.3cm x 4.2cm

Weight: 277g

Locality: Liufengshan Mine, Guichi District, Chizhou, Anhui, China

A very colorful and striking combination specimen from one of the world’s best Azurite mine – the Liufengshan Mine of China.  Excavated in 2020, banded and very vuggy layers of Chrysocolla, Azurite, Malachite and Goethite compressed to form this exceptional fine piece.  This large cabinet specimen glows with color and it is much brighter and vivid in person!  The contrast with the saturated sky-blue Chrysocolla is striking!  Highly crystallized, prismatic crystals of Azurite artfully “decorated” the piece, they are very sparkly and gemmy.  Goethite pseudomorph after Malachite occurs on the underside of the specimen, adding interest and uniqueness.  This is completely insane in what you can expect for a Chrysocolla-Azurite-Malachite-Goethite combo specimen, it is beyond and above Chrysocolla specimens for any localities!  Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
