Fluorite on Matrix from Xiayang Mine, China

Museum quality gem Fluorite crystals perched nicely isolated upon this sparkling Quartz matrix, from the famous Xiayang Fluorite Mine in China.  The Fluorite crystals are highly modified dodecahedral with great lustre and the color is a beautiful deep eggplant-purple. When backlighted, the Fluorite crystals display a bright violet color and are very transparent.  From a limited find of spring 2016, these beautifully Fluorite crystals exhibit penetration twinnings and stepped growths, forming complex and interesting crystal cluster, outstanding!  This is a perfect floater specimen without any damages, it is as much a “jewel” as you can want, a very showy centerpiece of this pocket and the last piece that I have from the 2016 find. Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
