Pyrite octahedrons with penetration twinning formation from the famous Huanzala Mine of Peru.  Acquired in March 2020, the color is a subtle platinum gold with natural fractures.  The smaller crystal aggregates give off a beautiful glistening effect in light.  Some crystal faces developed a thin film of Hübnerite micro crystals, giving it a slightly matte finish.  The piece will be beautifully set in a high quality acrylic display box especially made for specimens.
