Locality: Tonglushan Mine, Daye Co., Huangshi Prefecture, Hubei Province, China
An old material mined in around 2010/2011 from the premier Daye Copper Mine of China. This spectacular cluster of fluorescent Calcite discs interlinked to form a matrix, hosting countless aggregates of iridescent Marcasite crystals which exhibit brassy patina and are pristine. These superb stacked, tabular Marcasite crystals formed as rather rare herringbone patterns, magnificent! It is definitely one of the finest and best preserved old Daye Marcasite pieces that I have seen. The condition is superb and the overall aesthetics are stunning and complex. Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
