The beauty of the piece is completely off the chart and it is a floater specimen in pristine condition, outstanding! Excavated from the Dongchuan Cu ore field from May to June 2021, these new combo specimens WOW the Chinese mineral collecting world. Deep brown Goethite crystals completely encrusted the Quartz cluster, at a later stage of crystal formation, Chrysocolla and Azurite took over and pseudomorph after Goethite, giving it a dramatic appearance, mesmerizing! The well-formed spherical Azurite crystals interlinked to form a crust which display very saturated blue color, some of them glitter like the stars, so stunning! Obtained directly from the miner’s home on-site, beautiful and undamaged pieces are extremely rare. It is a fantastic specimen of mineral history, from time and place. Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
