An eye-catching Calcite specimen excavated in early 2020 from the world renowned Daye Copper Mine in China. The Calcite crystal has a medium champagne color with some red Hematite tinting and is perfectly terminated. It is called the Diamond Calcite in the Chinese mineral world because of its supreme clarity and gemminess, like a diamond that shines from many facets. For added aesthetics, it displays bright orange fluorescence under longwave UV lighting 365 nm. Calcite from this small deposit were quickly sold out in the mineral market and I had been lucky to have acquired a small amount of the very best pieces. This rare and precious specimen can be displayed from a number of angles as it is a complete floater, outstanding! Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
