From the one-time April 2020 find that really surprised the mineral world, these phenomenal well-formed Scolecite spheres perched on a Basalt matrix are so breathtaking not only in photos but better in person. The peachy to pink, dense acicular crystals of Scolecite interlinked to form in perfect spheres, I was stunned by its intriguing appearance when I first saw the piece, doesn’t it look like mickey mouse to you?! It just looks so surreal, sculptural but is entirely natural! This is a very rare species from anywhere and this particular piece is amongst the top 1% in the world. For added interest and value, the Scolecite spheres exhibit green fluorescence under UV lighting (365 nm) with a long phosphorescence emission as shown on the video, how amazing! An one-of-a-kind top quality Indian materials of good size and reasonable price. Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
