Native Copper from Keweenaw Co., Michigan, USA
Dimension: 2.7cm x 2.3cm x 1.7cm
Weight: 50 carat / 10g
Locality: Keweenaw Co., Michigan, USA
A miniature specimen of Native Copper featuring fairly sharp, highly lustrous crystals of Copper in the perfect rose-red/copper-red color. The embedded chlorite-rich matrix fragments are a nice accent to this superb, 360 degree display piece. The Copper aggregates abundantly scattered on the matrix that they can be seen in all angles. This is a classic, old-time Michigan Copper Country material which was acquired by my father back in the 1990’s, it is precious and highly sought after. The photos don’t do it justice as it’s way more beautiful in person! It is in perfect condition and a complete floater. The piece will be beautifully set in a high quality acrylic display box especially made for specimens.
