This Tibetan Quartz is mined at altitudes of over 15,000 feet in the Ganesh Himal Mountain range that borders Tibet and Nepal, one of the most sacred areas on Earth. This remote location is only accessible on foot during the warmer months so Tibetan Quartz crystals can only be collected by hand and brought down from the mountain in sacks.  They are very high vibration stones and have been traditionally used for spiritual protection and raising human consciousness.  This quartz is exceedingly packed with beautiful rainbow color and inclusions with supreme clarity, outstanding!  It is just too difficult to capture its beauty in front of the camera though.
 
The mines are not easily accessible by machinery, so most Tibetan Quartz is mined by hand, sometimes by monks themselves, and carried out in sacks.
