An absolute museum quality highly lustrous Wushan Garnet specimen druse with spheroidal aggregates of very well defined trapezohedral Spessartine Garnet crystals from the world renowned Wushan Mine. The gem quality and sparkly Garnets are between translucent and transparent which display exceedingly vivid and saturated colors of orange-red and red, outstanding! Spessartine Garnet specimens from the pristine, world-renowned Wushan mine of the size of 8.7cm in length is certainly a rarity and true treasure from the mother nature. Mined in around 1993, this belongs to my father’s long-kept rare mineral collections. Three of the largest Garnets respectively measures 1.2cm, 1cm and 0.8cm across, impressive! They have elevated to mineral jewelry than mineral specimen because of their extreme beauty, fame, uniqueness and rarity. Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
The first specimens of Chinese garnet associated with smoky quartz and feldspar started appearing in the mineral market in 1998. After many years of plentiful specimens, the mine is completely depleted and these are classic old materials highly sought after by mineral lovers in the world. Sadly my quests to acquire new specimens have been proven to be impossible over the years, as they are no longer sold on the market.
